Two more COVID-19 cases have been reported from employees at Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Toronto and the GTA.

According to Loblaws, on December 12, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 25 Great Lakes Drive tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on December 4.

The next day, on December 13, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 946 Lawrence Avenue East tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on December 8.

In the past few days, several other locations across the GTA reported positive cases among its employees, including grocery stores.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
