After having opened over a year ago and closing due to a kitchen fire, Shook, a vegetarian restaurant in Toronto, has finally reopened.

The middle eastern restaurant, located at 77 Portland Street, had faced issues after opening back in 2019. With a kitchen fire and the pandemic shortly after, they have finally reopened on December 11 for take out and delivery services.

The same restaurant group that’s behind Shook is also behind some of Toronto favourites like Byblos, Mira, Figo and Kōst.

Offering a full vegetarian menu, showcasing big flavours, bold spices and bright colours, Shook also offers cafe menu items in the mornings from coffee and smoothies to baked goods and salads.

They also have a retail space where you can purchase homeware, plants and speciality foods.

Shook is open every day from 8 am to 10 pm with their cafe specials ending at 11 am daily.

Orders can be placed through Uber Eats, Ritual, DoorDash, and SkipTheDishes
