Shake Shack’s first-ever Canadian food truck is touring Ontario this summer

People across Ontario will get the chance to eat Shake Shack under the sun this summer as the burger chain launches a brand-new food truck.

It’s hard to believe that it was only a little over a year ago when Shake Shack, the much-adored New York City-based burger chain, opened its first-ever Canadian location in Toronto.

Founded in 2001 as merely a hot dog cart, the chain has spent the subsequent quarter-century garnering massive acclaim worldwide thanks to its succulent smash burgers and, of course, droolworthy shakes.

After launching its Canadian expansion in Toronto in the summer of 2024, the chain has since opened locations at Yorkdale Mall and Union Station, with two more on the way, at the soon-to-open Castlefield Kitchen Hub and, in its first move outside of Toronto proper, at Square One in Mississauga.

All the while, folks outside of the GTA in Ontario (to say nothing of the rest of Canada) have been left with only the options to travel into the city or south of the border if they hope to see what all the buzz is about for themselves.

Until this summer, that is.

Kicking off on the weekend of July 19 and 20, Shake Shack is launching a brand-new food truck that’ll spend the remaining weekends of the summer travelling across Ontario, hitting locations like Port Carling, Sauble Beach, and Prince Edward County. Burgers just hit differently in cottage country, after all.

The burger tour starts and ends in Toronto, with an epic block party on Ossington, but each stop will also feature picnic tables and lawn games so that you can make the most of your Ontario Shake Shack experience. Of course, there’ll also be a comprehensive menu of Shake Shack staples to choose from.

As if you needed any more reason to go, you’ll also be doing good by grabbing a burger this summer. A portion of the proceeds from each stop will be donated to Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue organization, which “rescues” and redistributes food waste to those in need across the country.

Here’s the complete schedule of where and when you’ll be able to find the Shake Shack food truck this summer:
