Man wanted after allegedly groping two women in a grocery store

A man is wanted by the police for allegedly sexually assaulting two women at a Richmond Hill grocery store.

The York Regional Police responded to a report on Sunday, February 23, of a sexual assault that took place on 9325 Yonge Street.

Investigators report that shortly after 12:30 pm, two females were shopping in the grocery store when an unknown man bumped into them. He then proceeded to follow the women around the grocery store, approached them and allegedly groped their buttocks.

The suspect then fled the area.

Investigators have reviewed video surveillance and believe that there may be additional victims who were in the store at the same time.

Images of the suspect were captured and are being released to the public.

The police are appealing to the community for assistance to identify the suspect.

York Regional Police’s definition of sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature.
