An immersive Shaun of the Dead film experience is happening in Toronto

There’s no better way to enjoy a movie than to be apart of it.

This October, you’ll have the chance to be apart of an incredible movie experience, hosted by The Secret Sessions. This event will fuse live theatre with cinema, immersing the crowd within the performance, creating a very unique viewing experience.

What film is on the agenda? None other than the 2004 cult classic Shaun of the Dead.

Those who attend will be transported to London, England, and will have the chance to hang at Shaun’s favourite pub to enjoy a few pints, before the 2004 zombie epidemic takes over.

From lights and sounds to scripts and props, all guests will participate in a re-creation of cinematic delights while professional actors will bring scenes from the iconic film to life. No acting experience is necessary, of course.

This is a participatory event and guests aren’t required to join in but it is highly recommended if you really want to make the most of the experience.

For those looking to really join in on the fun, you are invited to dress the part. If that means you choose to arrive alive like Shaun or as one of the dead zombies, the choice is yours.

Tickets are $60, and will also include food inspired by the movie as well as other forms of live entertainment.

So if you’re looking to take your movie experience to the next step we suggest you head to the Monarch Tavern later this month.
