The LCBO has disclosed that an employee of a Scarborough store has tested positive for COVID-19.

The staff member works at the 3111 Danforth Avenue location, and reportedly was last on shift on Friday, June 5.

The employee is remaining at home, self-isolating, the LCBO said. Meanwhile, regular cleaning has continuously taken place, and Public Health has reportedly not provided direction or recommendations with respect to the store location.

The LCBO has disclosed the information out of an abundance of caution, and transparency for customers who may have recently visited the store.

As the province gradually reopens, the LCBO says it will continue to prioritize the health and well-being of its employees, and there are safety measures in place, including cleaning and sanitization, in-store promotion of physical distancing, and HR policies in support of staff.
