Last week, in addition to the prior case at the York Mills and Bayview store, Metro disclosed that an 11th employee of the grocer’s West Mall Distribution Centre was diagnosed with the illness.

A first case was also identified at the grocer’s Cold Chain Produce Distribution Centre, located at 5559 Dundas Street West, and there was a confirmed case at the Metro located at College and Shaw.

Prior to these new updates, Metro disclosed cases at Parkway Mall, The West Mall distribution Centre, the West Queen West Metro, the Metro located at Bloor and Spadina, in Mississauga at 1240 Eglinton Avenue West, and in Oakville at 1011 Upper Middle Road East.

“We will always contact and follow the guidance of Public Health to ensure the safety of our teammates and customers whenever we are made aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our food stores or distribution centres,” reads Metro’s website.

The grocer says its online tracker is continually being updated in an effort to keep the public aware of where cases have been confirmed.
