These are the road closures planned for Toronto this weekend: June 10-11

It’s a beautiful weekend in Toronto. Summer weather is expected to take over the region, so you’ll probably be heading out.

But as with most weekends in the city, there will be TTC and road closures.

According to the City of Toronto, several special events in Toronto this weekend will involve road closures, but businesses in the areas affected are open to pedestrian traffic although some roads will be closed to vehicles.

Here are this weekend’s road closures:

Ride to Conquer Cancer – June 10 from 6:30 to 10:30 am
The roads affected will be in the area bounded by Burnhamthorpe Road in the north, The West Mall in the west, Kipling Avenue in the east and Lake Shore Boulevard in the south. The event will begin at Exhibition Place at 8:30 a.m.

Portugal Day – June 10 from 8 am to 1 pm
Lansdowne Avenue, from Bloor Street to College Street, will be closed in both directions. Dufferin Street is a possible alternative route for motorists.

SHOPPERS LOVE. YOU. Run for Women – June 10 from 7 to 11:30 am
Queen’s Park Crescent, from College Street to Bloor Street, will be closed on Saturday. A number of smaller roads in the area will also be closed to accommodate this event.

Annex Family Festival –  June 11 from 7 am to 9 pm
Bloor Street, from Bathurst Street to Spadina Avenue, will be closed on Sunday.

Toronto Challenge Run –  June 11 from 8:30 to 11 am
The northbound lanes of University Avenue, from Queen Street to Armoury Street, will be also be closed on Sunday.
