It’s time to start planning your weekend, especially if you’re going to be heading downtown.

This weekend, there are three events and one maintenance project that will result in road closures throughout the city.

Here’s what to prepare for.

Road Closures

Eglinton Crosstown: intersection closure

The intersection at Eglinton Avenue and Bathurst Street will be fully closed overnight from
Friday, October 26 at 9 pm until Saturday, October 27 at 9 am for bridge removal work as part of ongoing Eglinton Crosstown work.

St. Joseph’s Toronto West Halloween Fest

Bloor Street West will be closed from Willard Avenue to Runnymede Road on Sunday, October 28 from 6 am until 6 pm.

Greek OXI Day Parade

Danforth Avenue will be closed in both directions between Donlands Avenue and Broadview Avenue on Sunday, October 28 from 11 am to 5 pm for the parade.

Kensington Market Pedestrian Sundays

Parts of Kensington Avenue, Augusta Avenue, Baldwin Street and St. Andrew Street will be closed on Sunday, October 28 from noon to 10:30 pm for the Pedestrian Sunday event.

Additionally, there are a number of TTC disruptions to prepare for as well. There will be no service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Lawrence and St Clair stations while Metrolinx crews continue construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

This Sunday only, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth will open late between St George and Broadview stations while the City of Toronto and TTC crews perform subway track work and maintenance on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct.
