Toronto Raptors unveil snazzy new court for select games this year

The Toronto Raptors will have a bit of a different look at select games at Scotiabank Arena this season.
For the third year in a row, the NBA Cup is back, formerly known as the In-Season Tournament.
In collaboration with artist Victor Solomon, the NBA released 30 courts for each team’s home games. The courts feature fully-painted gradient designs, personalized overlays for each team, and hidden details for the two previous NBA Cup champions.
Toronto’s court is red and black, with a wordmark that says “TORONTO” in the middle. The “We the North” slogan is also visible on different parts of the court.
The court will first be on display on Nov. 21, when the Raptors host the Washington Wizards.
A full list of all the courts is available online.
What is the NBA Cup, and why are the Raptors in it?
It’s a bit of a unique concept: select regular-season games will also count towards a separate standings bracket, with the top four teams across the league getting a trip to Vegas to play for the NBA Cup.
For the four teams that make the semifinal, those games will also count towards their regular-season record, though the actual final game will not.
For everyone else, they’ll see two games added to their schedule on short notice to complete the schedule to 82 games.
