Canadian sports fans will see a familiar face coming to the Toronto Raptors broadcast team this upcoming season.

On Wednesday, Sportsnet announced that Danielle Michaud will be their full-time sideline reporter for the network’s 41 Raptors broadcasts this season.

Matt Devlin and Alvin Williams will continue as the team’s play-by-play and colour commentators, while Sherman Hamilton, Brad Fay, and Matt Bonner will run the three-person studio show.

Michaud is known to many fans for her work on the Sportsnet highlight desk, though she is often on-site for many events, such as the Olympics, Toronto Blue Jays games, and the National Bank Open, as well as appearances throughout the years on Raptors broadcasts.

Her regular-season coverage begins on Oct. 21, when the Raptors play their first game of the season on the road against the Atlanta Hawks.

Twenty-seven of the team’s 41 games broadcast by Rogers this year will be broadcast on Sportsnet One, with a full schedule available via Sportsnet.ca. TSN, meanwhile, will carry the other 41 games this season, as is the traditional split for the team’s broadcast rights.

Michaud replaces Savanna Hamilton, who announced her departure from the role in June.

“After three unforgettable seasons covering the team I grew up watching, my time on the Raptors sideline with Sportsnet has come to a close,” Hamilton wrote in a post on her social media channels.

Amy Audibert had previously held the role in the 2021-22 season, before departing to work in a similar position on Miami Heat broadcasts.
