Raptors player leaks cool new court design at Scotiabank Arena

Less than a week after debuting a flashy purple court for the NBA Cup, the Toronto Raptors are already switching things up with another bold floor design.
On Monday, Raptors point guard Davion Mitchell casually dropped a sneak peek of the newly installed court at Scotiabank Arena.

At the centre of the new design is a revamped version of the team’s original dinosaur logo, which pays homage to Raptors legend Vince Carter with a between-the-legs dunk and the player’s No. 15.
The same Carter-inspired crest was also unveiled last week as part of the Raptors’ alternate jersey for the 2024-25 Nike NBA City Edition collection, which features designs for all 30 NBA teams.

Still, it’s worth asking why Toronto didn’t use the playing surface earlier this month when Carter’s number was ceremoniously raised to the rafters following his Basketball Hall of Fame induction.
Meanwhile, NBA 2K25 players have already gotten a glimpse of the full-court design in the game, with screenshots circulating online giving everyone a better look at the vibrant new aesthetic, which features purple accents along the three-point lines.

Riding a disappointing record of 3-12 to start the year, the Raptors are expected to play on the new surface tonight when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at home.
Here’s hoping the new look brings them some luck.
