Start the car!

Now that the warm weather has finally arrived, it means it’s time to start planning summer road trips.

If you’re looking for a mini day trip that provides plenty of epic views and photo opportunities, you’re going to want to drive just under three hours east to Prince Edward County for the seventh annual Prince Edward County Lavender Festival.

Taking place this July 7 and 8 at Prince Edward County Lavender, the public is invited to enjoy a weekend filled with fragrance, food, and entertainment.

Over the weekend, visitors can enjoy an impressive lineup of activities, which includes live music, fresh food, free tastings, a petting zoo, pony rides and fun for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy food from Papa Ghanoush & Momma Hummus, Carribean Delights, and Maple Pork Sausage in addition to lavender-infused lemonade and cotton candy.

But the highlight of the festival is hands down getting to explore the picturesque lavender fields and picking your own gorgeous bouquet.

Admission to the festival is $10 per person and children under 12 are free.
