You can ride on a real life Polar Express near Toronto this holiday season

This holiday season, you’re invited to embark on a magical holiday journey as you take a ride on the Polar Express.

Operated by the Waterloo Central Railway, as soon as you step onboard, you’ll be whisked away to the sounds of the beloved film’s motion soundtrack.

Passengers can then sit back and relax as they enjoy freshly prepared hot cocoa and holiday treats as they are read the classic holiday story.

Once the train reaches the North Pole, passengers will receive a very special visit from Santa, and each child will be given their first gift of Christmas — a silver sleigh bell.

Finally, as the train heads back to the station, passengers can take part in singing Christmas carols with the chefs aboard each train car.

Families are encouraged to wear their pyjamas for the ride, to really make the most of the experience.

The Waterloo Central Railway says guests should always plan ahead for weather and road conditions as the train can’t wait.

Additionally, all the Polar Express train rides will run no matter what the weather is like. Doors open one hour prior to your departure and guests are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

So, start a new holiday tradition this year by embarking on an unforgettable ride aboard the Polar Express.
