Welcome to the future. Hope you’re hungry.
The first automated pizza-oven flagship in Canada is launching in Toronto on Friday.
PizzaForno will open for business at the corner of Bay and Cumberland Street, serving patrons 24/7 with made-fresh artisan pizzas, ready in under three minutes.
The new flagship spot follows the opening of a “beta test” location on Adelaide Street East, but this location is the real-deal, official launch.
And customers will be able to see what’s happening behind the scenes.
“From the minute they order it, the 32” video screen on the PizzaForno machine shows the journey the pizza makes from the hand topping, through the refrigerated section, through baking and finally to delivery out of the front slot of the machine,” President Les Tomli shared with Daily Hive.
To start, customers will be able to choose from four different selections on a digital screen, including Chèvre-miel, BBQ Chicken, Pepperoni, and Mozzarella.
Additional options are set to roll out in 2019.
Each 12-inch pizza is made fresh, with an authentic Italian approach that includes romana crust, fresh, all natural, locally sourced ingredients and delicious, quality cream and tomato sauces.

Prices range from $11 to $14, including HST.
And did we mention the spot will be serving 24/7? We did? Okay, just making sure.
The spot holds 70 12-inch pizzas at a time. Each pie is freshly topped and stored in the refrigerated section of the PizzaForno. Once customers place their order on the screen, a robotic arm takes their selection from the refrigerated section and slides it into an oven.
Once it’s cooked, the pizza is placed in a box and delivered to the consumer.
This spot is expanding fast, with plans to reach Mississauga’s Dixie Mall by the end of 2019, along with additional office and retail locations across the GTA.
This is one expansion we are extra excited to watch play out.
Until then: Two pepperoni pizzas please, Mr. Roboto.
Arriving: Friday, December 14 at 4 pm
Address: 1235 Bay Street
