20-year-old man suffering life-altering injury after random paintball attack

A 20-year-old man has been left with a life-altering injury after allegedly being randomly attacked with a paintball gun in Mississauga this week.

According to Peel Police, on August 16 between 10:30 pm and 11 pm, the victim was walking in the area of Monica Drive and Lockington Crescent in Mississauga before he was shot at from a passing vehicle with a paintball gun.

The victim suffered a serious and life-changing injury as a result of the attack.

Now Peel Police are asking for the public’s help for those who may have witnessed the attack or have any dashcam video of the incident.

“Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who may have experienced a similar incident in this area recently,” said police in a news release.

Peel Police told Daily Hive that there are no leads on the suspect at this time but are asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121 ext. 1233 or anonymously at Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
