Vanilla Ice parody explains why world's largest skating rink isn't yet open (VIDEO)
Skaters might be a bit irked that we’re halfway through January and the wold’s largest skating rink, the Rideau Canal Skateway, is not yet open.
The Rideau Canal Skateway winds its way through the heart of Ottawa over a total length of 7.8 km, stretching from downtown to Dow’s Lake.

Even with the east coast’s chilly winter, the iceway — entering its 50th season — is still not skateable.
For those curious as to why the rink isn’t yet accessible on blades, the skateway’s maintenance team has parodied Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby” to give skaters an informative and laughable reason as to why not.
But be warned, this will probably be stuck in your head all day.
