Whether it’s your first time visiting Vancouver or a much-needed return to see your family for the holidays, now’s a pretty great time to book a flight to the west coast.

And we’re here to tell you that WestJet’s ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop is currently offering Canadians an incredible winter flight deal, with one-way flights from Ontario to BC for just $89 including tax.

The only catch is that flights are from Hamilton, ON to Abbotsford, BC, or vice versa.

The non-stop, one-way flights include one personal item in the ticket fare. There are select travel dates in December, in addition to January to February, May to June and September to October.

Full travel availability:

  • January 15 to February 27
  • May 1 to June 25
  • September 4 to October 23

Here’s how to book the deal:

1. Go to the Swoop website.

2. Search for flights from Hamilton (YHM) to Abbotsford (YXX)

3. Cheapest one-way flights will be priced at $89

When travelling with Swoop, you’re just paying for your seat, which means all extras will cost you — but perhaps not quite as much as you might think.

Priority boarding can be added for $10.50 while checking a bag will run you an additional $26.25.

Inflight movies, WiFi, and more legroom can also be purchased.

WestJet had announced that they would be launching a new ultra-low-cost airliner in April 2017. According to a release from the company at the time, the initial fleet will be comprised of 10 high-density Boeing 737-800s.

Full details on Swoop can be found here.

The flight sale ends on November 29, 2018, or when supplies run out.
