As a cold front makes its way through the province, many cities will be hit with their first real taste of winter this weekend.
The Weather Network has forecasted that parts of Ontario will experience a few hours of moderate snowfall Friday afternoon, and if temperatures drop slightly throughout the day, drivers could face “deteriorating” road conditions.
The network’s forecast also says that temperatures are expected to dip below freezing on Friday. Central and northern Ontario residents “should also be prepared for accumulating snow throughout the day into Saturday morning.”
Here in Toronto, temperatures are forecasted to dip into the minus territory by Friday evening, making flurries a possibility.
Heading into the weekend, “most of the GTA will see a few passing flurries with a brief burst of snow possible through Saturday morning,” reads the network’s forecast.
As for the rest of the province, many cities surrounding the GTA have already experienced their first snowfall today, with reports of snow coming from Innisfil, Waterloo, Niagara, Guelph, London, Windsor, and Richmond Hill to name a few.
