Dec 27 2017, 9:42 pm

Almost the entire province of Ontario is dealing with temperatures worthy of an extreme cold weather warning this morning.

Environment Canada issues the warning when “very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.”

Some areas of the province have woken up to wind chill values of -40°C or below.

This is what Environment Canada’s weather warning system looks like for Ontario right now (hint – red is bad):

And while Toronto is not currently included in Environment Canada’s weather warnings right now, the City itself as issued an Extreme Cold Weather Alert:

As of 8 am, it’s -15°C in Toronto with wind chill values making it feel like -24°C.

Stay warm out there, Toronto!
