Ontario reports 326 new confirmed coronavirus cases, 19 new deaths
Ontario reported 19 additional COVID-19-related deaths and 326 new confirmed cases, as of Sunday, May 31.
This new data brings the total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 2,266 with the total number of cases the province has seen since the start of the pandemic at 27,859.
As of Sunday, there are 781 individuals currently in hospital, with 118 being treated in intensive care (ICU) and 90 patients on ventilators.
Additionally, the province reported 21,810 recoveries from virus infections.

Last week, the province entered Stage 1 of its strategy to reopen the economy, permitting certain businesses and recreational activities to reopen.
However, despite this, Premier Doug Ford’s government extended its emergency orders for another ten days to further hinder the transmission of coronavirus.
The emergency orders were previously extended to May 29 and are now currently in force until June 9, 2020.
