13 more deaths and 309 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Ontario
The Province of Ontario confirms there are 13 more dead, and 309 new known cases of COVID-19, bringing the province’s total up to 4,347, as of Monday morning.
To date, a total of 132 people have died from coronavirus in the province.
The province says that 1,624 patients have recovered and 329 are currently under investigation.
There have been 46 outbreaks reported in long-term care homes, where the virus is of even greater concern for the vulnerable demographic.
The Greater Toronto Area public health units account for 51.9% of the cases.

Of the total cases, 47.3% are male and 52.2% are female, with 35.2% 60 years of age and older.
Additionally, 19.8% had travelled in the 14 days prior to becoming ill, 13.0% had close contact with a confirmed case, 19.3% had community exposure and 47.9% have exposure information pending.
And, 12.4% of cases were hospitalized and 132 deaths have been reported — there may be a reporting delay for deaths.

According to the province, the daily summary is based on data reported by the 34 public health units across Ontario and recorded in the province’s integrated Public Health Information System (iPHIS).
iPHIS is the Ministry of Health’s disease reporting system where data is regularly updated, where data for each day’s summary will be pulled from at 4 pm the previous day.
On Friday, the province released its coronavirus projections and models.
With the existing measures in place, Ontario health officials forecast the province will see 1,600 deaths with 80,000 cases by the end of the month.
If stricter measures are put in place, then the province could see 200 deaths with 12,500 cases.
As of April 5, there are 15, 512 cases in Canada with 280 reported deaths.
