First they tried to apologize, then they counted stars, and now OneRepublic is headlining the CFL’s Grey Cup Halftime show.

The American group will be in Toronto as part of the Grey Cup festivities, which all goes down on November 26 at BMO Field.

“We are honored that the CFL invited us to perform at this year’s Grey Cup. Canada is a special place for us, and getting the chance to perform and watch great football live will be a blast,” said OneRepublic in the CFL press release.

In the same release, Christina Litz called OneRepublic one of the biggest bands in the world. “OneRepublic is one of the biggest bands in the world – they have played for millions of fans internationally and we are thrilled to have them at this year’s Grey Cup in Toronto,” said Litz, SVP Marketing and Content, CFL. “This promises to be quite a show for the fans attending Grey Cup at BMO Field and for the millions of others watching in Canada and around the world.”

Lead by frontman Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic has released four studio albums since their formation in the early 2000’s. The Grammy nominated band recently released their latest record Oh My My, and its lead single “Kids” has already had over 6 million YouTube views since its release on August 25.

The 104th Grey Cup will be played Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Toronto’s BMO Field. This year’s championship will be the first outdoor Grey Cup game, since 1982, to be played in Toronto. Grey Cup tickets are on sale now.
