This bi-weekly roundup highlights recently-opened restaurants that you’ve got to get into.

With so many spots to hit across Toronto, it can be difficult to decide where to head for that date night, after-work drink, birthday dinner, or just-because meal.

From pub bites to cocktails to seriously slurpable noodles, here’s what’s calling your name in the city right now.

Where BOB Coffee Bar used to be, The Davenport has taken up shop. Now serving up some serious pub fare alongside a rotating wine list, you can still count on this spot for your caffeine fix but also, so much more. Slip in for a burg or duck confit wings served with a glass of sparkling as the ideal way to end the work-week.

Another spot replacing an old fav, The Burren Pub is now open in the previous home of The Ceili Cottage. And respectfully so. With a name and vibe inspired by the west coast of Ireland, this rustic eatery serves up elevated fare including quail wings, deep-fried pâté, and fresh oysters, plus plenty of Guinness. Enjoy yours in one of two dining rooms, at the bar, or on the patio.
