“I am thrilled to share this collection with Canada,” said Thierry Guetta a.k.a Mr. Brainwash. “My objective with, ‘We’re in this Together,’ is to bring joy and unite regardless of our differences and remind everyone that ‘life is beautiful’.”

The new collection features a mix of mediums with paper, sculpture, and canvas works, and combines pop-art with raw elements of street art, all with a focus on Marilyn Monroe.

The last time Mr. Brainwash visited Toronto was for the inaugural Yorkville Murals Festival in 2019, where he unveiled a massive 80 by eight-foot mural and hosted a solo exhibition with Taglialatella Galleries.

“He [Mr. Brainwash] is an artist that exudes positivity and inspiration,” said Alan Ganev, director at Taglialatella Galleries and Yorkville Murals. “The collection flawlessly reflects on our mission to inspire and make Yorkville the contemporary art landmark it once was.”

The pop-up will be co-hosted by Taglialatella Galleries and Ink Entertainment from October 1 to December 31 and can be visited at 87 Yorkville Avenue from 11 am to 7pm.

The gallery is closed on Mondays.
