One person is dead and two others are seriously injured following a drive-by shooting in Mississauga Tuesday evening, according to Toronto Police Service.

The shooting happened on the Highway 410 northbound ramp to Derry Road and police report being called to the area shortly before 10 pm.

According to police, one man was pronounced dead at the scene and another man and a woman suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

On Wednesday, police said the two surviving victims are now in serious condition in a trauma hospital.

Police have not released any information on the suspect’s vehicle at this time.

However, this wasn’t the only fatal shooting in Mississauga on Tuesday evening.

According to police, a second shooting occurred just two hours after the drive-by, in which a man was fatally shot while sitting in a car near Square One.

Following both incidents, Mississauga Mayor, Bonnie Crombie, said she’s “appalled” by the brazen shootings that took place overnight.

“This violence has no place in our City. It’s why I continue to call on senior levels of government to deliver funding to tackle the issue of guns & gangs and the root causes,” she said in a tweet Wednesday morning.

She also urged area residents to contact police if they had any dashcam or cellphone footage of the shooting.
