These days, the Instagramability of a place is just as important as the deliciousness of its menu.
And from the flavours to the aesthetics to the vibe, Milky’s has it all going on.
The new coffee shop has soft-opened at Dundas and Bathurst, with their official opening slated for February 4. But coffee lovers are already filling the space, swarming towards the warmth of both the cozy drinks and the welcoming atmosphere.
Gorgeous light and floral details are just a couple of the aspects that make this space feel special.

“We are excited to offer a Canadian interpretation of coffee culture, bringing the same level of care for design and hospitality often only found in well-considered, fine restaurants to a neighbourhood coffee shop,” says Fraser Greenberg, who’s behind the venture, in a release.

“We want to be the most reliable place to compensate for things that might be missing from someone’s day: bright lights to counteract our long, grey winter days, a pop of bright colour to alleviate our mainly concrete streetscape, friendly baristas before heading out on a lonely streetcar ride,” Greenberg says.
Longtime coffee aficionado Gareth Hoom, a design enthusiast who studied architecture at OCAD, who oversees Milky’s day-to-day operations. So you know that every detail of the day is gilded with an artistic touch.

In addition to their regular operating hours, the shop will offer intimate coffee tasting by reservation only on Sundays, beginning in March.
Guests will have the opportunity to try rare beans and blends typically only available through special auction, and enjoy custom food pairings by Forno Cultura.

The shop will also release a new batch of speciality drinks each season.
The space also has the goal of becoming completely waste-free by the end of its first year of operations.
