Milk products recalled due to presence of sanitizer: CFIA

Certain milk products are being recalled from the marketplace due to the presence of sanitizer.

Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below, which have been sold in Ontario and Quebec.

There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of these products.

As such, anyone who has any of the recalled products in their home should throw them out, or return them to the store where they were purchased.

Food that’s contaminated with sanitizer residue may not look or smell spoiled, but consumption may cause symptoms such as nausea, upset stomach, or vomiting.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to further recalls. If other high-risk products are recalled, the public will be notified through further recall warnings.
