With spit-roasted shawarma, grilled halloumi, sticky baklava, and more, this upcoming food fest bills itself as a chance to sample “the 1,001 flavours Middle Eastern culture has to offer.”

Toronto’s Taste of the Middle East Food Festival is set to take over Yonge-Dundas square on July 27, and it’s going to be good.

While the line-up of vendors is still to be announced, the festival, in support of Second Harvest, is advertising the chance to “learn what a Jalab is or how Turkish coffee is made. Try a sip of Arak or maybe a bite of Manooshe.”

And if last year’s line-up is any indication, it’s going to be a delicious day. Chefs behind Paramount Fine Foods, Byblos, and many more mouthwatering spots were serving up the goods.

In addition to eating, attendees can look forward to vibrant art, music, and dance.
