Julie's Cuban Restaurant is shutting down after 25 years

It’s a sad day for Dovercourt Road.

Julie’s Cuban Restaurant has announced on Facebook that the end is nigh: they’ll be closing up shop on August 31.

The comfy, cozy hideaway has been running out of a convenience store-style spot at 202 Dovercourt for 25 years, and while the food is Cuban, the vibe is full-on hygge.

Covered in a blanket of twinkle lights, the inside of the space serves diner-vibes with checkered tablecloths, while the patio is surrounded by trees and more ethereal lighting.

There’s still a little bit of time to visit the sweet space and indulge your comfort food cravings, but don’t wait.
