Last week, Metro disclosed a case affecting a staff member at the Food Basics at 377 Burnhamthorpe Road East in Mississauga, and another at Metro York Mills and Bayview at 291 York Mills Road; the second case identified at this location in a two-week period.

Prior to these new updates, Metro has made public cases at Parkway Mall, The West Mall distribution Centre, the West Queen West Metro, the Metro located at Bloor and Spadina, the grocer’s Cold Chain Produce Distribution Centre, the College and Shaw Metro, in Mississauga at 1240 Eglinton Avenue West, and in Oakville at 1011 Upper Middle Road East.

“We will always contact and follow the guidance of Public Health to ensure the safety of our teammates and customers whenever we are made aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our food stores or distribution centres,” reads Metro’s website.

The grocer says its online tracker is continually being updated in an effort to keep the public aware of where cases have been confirmed.
