Taiwanese dessert chain Meet Fresh is launching one giant summer special.

Billed as the largest shaved ice dessert in Toronto, the soon-to-be-released giant bingsu is “a feat of engineering in itself,” according to a press release.

It starts with a mountain of shaved ice that’s layered with a special house sauce, fruit (strawberry, mango, or a combination of both) and fruit sauce before being crowned with an ice cream ball and condensed milk. Additional taro balls, pudding, red beans toppings can be added on too.

The new summer special exemplifies colossal food proportions that are popular in Taiwan.

The limited edition menu launches on July 20 and will only be available during summer so recruit a friend because this is a very shareable frozen dessert.

“Sharing a massive Shaved Ice in the Taiwanese summer heat has been my fondest childhood memory,” says Meet Fresh Toronto co-owner Alice Chu. “I missed this ritual ever since I moved to Toronto as an 8-year-old. As this is Meet Fresh’s first summer here, I want Torontonians to experience the joy of sharing a Taiwanese Shaved Ice like I did.”
