Toronto Maple Leafs PA announcer begging fans to be loud in Game 7

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a chance to make history on home ice tonight.
A berth to the Eastern Conference Final is on the line as the Florida Panthers come into Toronto for a definitive Game 7 of their second-round series. The city is bound to be going wild in the lead-up to puck drop, as this has the potential to be one of the biggest games in franchise history.
The streets of Toronto were rabid following the team’s Game 6 victory on Friday night.
Scotiabank Arena’s PA announcer, Mike Ross, took to social media this morning with a message begging for Leafs fans to be loud throughout the big game.
“My request is simple,” Ross started. “Whether you are in Scotiabank Arena or Maple Leaf Square or in front of your TV, I want you to be so loud that I am impossible to hear… All. Night. Long.
“Pass it on… Go Leafs Go.”

Toronto has gained a bit of a reputation in recent years as being a bit quieter than you would expect during the playoffs, especially for a Canadian team. Leafs superstar Auston Matthews called out Toronto fans on being quiet just a few months ago. That has not been the case this time around, as Scotiabank Arena has been noticeably louder this time around.
To help add to the Game 7 atmosphere, fans are also being given LED lights on each of their seats, which is sure to create a spectacle in the pregame show.

Tonight is shaping up to be an instant classic, no matter which team comes out on top. Either the Maple Leafs exorcise their Game 7 demons or the Panthers continue their march to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions.
Leafs fans will be hoping that their support can tip the scales in Toronto’s favour.
