Leafs' Auston Matthews caught stealing Senators player's stick and breaking it

This will put a smile on the faces of Toronto Maple Leafs fans.
There are no friends between foes during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and that is especially true of Ridly Greig — a noted foe on the Ottawa Senators.
So when Auston Matthews got a chance to extract some revenge, he took it.
He took his stick, too.
Sportsnet’s cameras caught Greig losing his stick at the Leafs bench in Game 1. Matthews picked it up and smashed it in half over the boards before handing it to the trainer.

And the Battle of Ontario is just getting started.
Greig is, of course, well known for taking a slap shot into an empty net late in a Senators-Maple Leafs game in Ottawa last season. It infuriated the Leafs, with Morgan Rielly cross-checking him in the face, earning the Toronto defenceman a five-game suspension.
