Suspect wanted for allegedly hitting man in head with hammer

Toronto police are looking for a man who reportedly struck another man in the head with a hammer on Sunday evening in Scarborough.

Police say they responded to an assault call in the Ellesmere Road and Orton Park Road area at about 8:15 pm on May 10.

A man was reportedly walking through a field in the area when he was struck in the head by a suspect with a hammer. Police say the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid-20s, 5’10”, with a brown complexion, and with black wavy hair. Officials say he was last seen wearing a black winter jacket, dark coloured track pants, and a dark coloured backpack.
