A 21-year-old has been charged following a video surfacing that shows someone driving donuts in the middle of the Yonge and Dundas intersection.

Police say they became aware of the stunt driving taking place at the downtown location on Monday, April 20, at about 10:10 pm.

According to officials — and the video of the incident — the vehicle was in the middle of the intersection, performing “stunts in circles at a high rate of speed,” and causing clouds of smoke.

Pedestrians were seen in the intersection as well, filming the vehicle as it spun. Other pedestrians are seen on the sidewalk, moving back from the incident.

Soon, police approached, with emergency lights and sirens activated, and the vehicle fled.

Through investigation by 52 Division officers, the driver was identified. Police say that on Wednesday, April 22, Amidulla Baluch, 21, was arrested.

He has been charged with several offences, including Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance, Mischief Endangering Life, Flight While Pursued by a Peace Officer, and Careless Driving (HTA).
