5 things to do at Toronto's Luxury Chocolate Festival this weekend
The Luxury Chocolate Festival takes over the Toronto Reference Library this weekend.
The kick-off to a month-long celebration of all things chocolate takes place over two days and promises a full weekend of chocolate-themed activities.
Here are the vendors and attractions we’re most looking forward to.
1. There’s a chocolate marketplace
Forget farmers and fleas. This market is stocked with stuff we really want: chocolate! More than 30 chocolate artists from near and far will hawk their chocolatey wares at this cacao-fueled festival!
Participating vendors include:
- Babancu
- Cacao Barry
- Callebaut
- Cakes Cove
- Caotina
- ChocoMe
- The Chocolate Rabbit
- ChocoStyle
- Desbarres Chocolate
- Fitzy’s
- Giddy YoYo
- The Golden Apple
- iBar
- Indulgence Truffles
- Miss Bailey Brown
- M Thompson Chocolates
- The Nutty Chocolatier
- Old Time Retro Candy
- PopGod
- Pretty Little Cupcakes
- Real Layers
- Sorini
- Sweet Canada
- Vergani
- You & Me
2. Chocolate making demos
With the holidays just around the corner, it couldn’t hurt to brush up on your skills in the kitchen. Top chocolatiers and chefs take to this stage for hourly demonstrations covering chocolate making, infusions, and more.
3. Chocolate Salons
Chocolate and wine! This hourly tasting salon isn’t included in the price of admission, but for $18 festival-goers can enjoy a 40-minute sampling featuring up to six wines paired with chocolates.
4. Free draws
Participating vendors are hosting ongoing draws throughout the festival! And the prizes? They’ll be chocolate-themed, of course.
5. Eating!
Sampling, shopping, hot chocolate-sipping. Eating unabashed amounts of sweet chocolate treats is the number one reason to check out this two-day chocolate festival.
