Logan Paul chirps Maple Leafs in Toronto and gets booed hard by WWE crowd

Logan Paul isn’t exactly making too many fans in Toronto right now.

On Friday night at Scotiabank Arena, Paul trolled the WWE crowd in attendance in a number of ways, including tossing a stray at the Toronto Maple Leafs.

First off, Paul entered the venue to the tune of “The Time Is Now,” better known as the entrance theme to WWE star John Cena.

With Cena currently on a farewell tour as he transitions out of professional wrestling and into other entertainment avenues, the fans began to boo when they realized it was actually Paul and not Cena.

Paul then chirped Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, who were mouthing off at one another before he began to enter the ring.

“You can’t win a championship… and neither can the Toronto Maple Leafs,” Paul told the other wrestlers, before another chorus of boos came down.

Paul wasn’t the first WWE star to make fun of the Leafs on Friday, with Chelsea Green also throwing a shot at Auston Matthews earlier in the night.

While talking smack to Toronto native Trish Stratus, Green chirped the Leafs’ captain, stating than unlike him, “I actually win.”

It wasn’t the first time Paul had been booed in the venue, either.

Back in October 2023, Paul was sitting courtside at a Raptors game with fellow internet personality KSI to promote their sports drink brand Prime, who later launched a partnership with Toronto’s NBA team.Ā  The local crowd wasn’t exactly having much of it, though, as they were booed heavily while shown on the Jumbotron.

Paul and Green are two of the headliners for tomorrow’s Elimination Chamber event at the Rogers Centre, the first WWE card to be at the venueĀ since WrestleMania X8 in 2002.
