Several TTC subway stations to close early this week

Feb 10 2020, 7:00 pm

From February 10 to 13 subway service on a portion of Line 2 between Keele and Ossington stations will end at 11 pm for track work.

During the closure times replacement shuttle buses will run and stop at each station affected.

However, all stations will remain open for fare sales and access to bus or streetcar routes. Some stations will have their automatic entrances closed. At Lansdowne station the east side of Emerson Ave will be closed as will the two entrances on Russet Ave for Dufferin station.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the closure and TTC staff will be available to direct costumers to shuttle buses.

The TTC said in a statement that while subway maintenance is typically done at the end of service each night, the TTC requires “weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.”

The ATC – automatic train control – upgrades are being installed throughout the TTC to improve signaling and train efficiency.
