LCBO launches home delivery from foodora in Toronto

Sep 5 2019, 4:38 pm

Saturday night just got way more chill, Toronto.

Because as of September 5, foodora is offering delivery of LCBO products to homes across the city through both its app and website.

This means: no more late-night booze runs, no more carrying heavy bottles home, and no more worries if the party’s in full-swing but the supply is running low.

To order, you can now scroll through the LCBO’s ā€œmenu,” which is a curated list of popular beer and cider, wine, spirits and ready-to-drink offerings, on the foodora website or app.

On average, you can expect about an hour’s delivery window after placing your order.

ā€œNever before have Ontarians had such power to choose when, where and how they want to shop with the LCBO and we are excited to continue our partnership with foodora, bringing additional convenience and choice to the Toronto market,ā€ said George Soleas, President & CEO of the LCBO in a release.

ā€œWe are confident that our valued customers across the city will enjoy the selection of some of our best products and best-in-class service through this efficient and responsible on-demand delivery option.ā€

The pilot project and delivery partnership with the LCBO started in Ottawa this May, offering on-demand delivery within core city areas.

Plans are currently in the works to offer delivery from other convenient shops like Fresh & Wild Food Market, Popeyeā€™s Supplements, Couche-Tard and Circle K, and many more.
