The LCBO has issued a statement after a Brampton store employee tested positive for COVID-19 this past long weekend.

According to the LCBO, an employee from the 100 Clementine Drive location in Brampton has reported positive for coronavirus on October 11.

The employee had last worked on October 4 and according to the company, is now self-isolating at home.

“Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to this location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency,” said the LCBO.

The company reported several cases last Monday, October 5, at different LCBO locations across Toronto and the GTA.

More Toronto stores, including Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws, have also reported cases among employees over the long weekend.

The LCBO has several measures to keep employees and customers safe, including regular cleaning and sanitization and in-store measures that promote physical distancing.
