La Diperie just landed across from Trinity Bellwoods park.
The Montreal-based soft serve chain opened its first Toronto location on The Danforth in 2016 and already planning further expansion across the city.
The new Queen West location is situated next to iHalo Krunch competing directly against the all-black ice cream brand in a battle for business between light and dark soft serve enthusiasts.
La Diperie prides itself on serving extra creamy, extra thick vanilla soft swirls in cones, and sandwiched between cookies.
Here, cones can be had dipped in chocolate including various flavored white chocolate dips, and then rolled in a choice of toppings.
At the new Queen Street location, the choices include 20 dips spanning a gamut of flavours that includes honey lavender, caramel fleur de sel, and ginger (to name just a few). The selection of toppings spans a variety of crushed nuts, candies, cereals, and crumbles.
Vegans can skip the ice cream and opt instead for raw cookie dough by the scoop, served in cups and drizzled with liquid chocolate and sprinkled with toppings.
Signature creations include Le Tex Mex featuring a spicy chili chocolate dip and tortilla crumble, and the Sugar Rush coated in a cookie dough white chocolate dip and then finished with Oreo crumble.
