“Forever starts now,” Altidore wrote on his social media channels, with an accompanying photo with his new fiancé — and her brand new ring.
“Forever yes,” wrote Stephens, with an equally cute photo of the happy couple.
Altidore and Stephens began a relationship in 2016, but knew each other much longer as childhood friends growing up in Florida.
If they decide to start a family one day, safe to say their children will be set up well for athletic success.
Altidore is a longtime member of the US National Soccer Team and has starred for Toronto FC since 2015.
Bursting onto the scene in 2017 as the surprise winner of the US Open, Stephens is currently ranked eighth in the world in women’s singles. She’s also a sometimes doubles partner with Canadian Genie Bouchard.
Altidore and Stephens have been spotted together at each other’s matches, as well as a few Toronto Raptors games in recent years.
