It’s not everyday you get commissioned by OVO’s Noah Shebib to design an office.

Shebib, also known as 40, is one of Drake’s main producers. The Torontonian commissioned local design firm I-V last year for the new OVO Sound office in the 6ix.

“Gimme that Moroccan swag,” was Shebib’s request, according to I-V. And the design team, led by founder Emil Teleki, took the request, mixing the essence of traditional and transforming them into “the hyper-modern.”

The project, which was completed in 2016, is located in an old industrial building over two floors.

“We intentionally juxtaposed a bright, light filled interior against the exterior grittiness of the building and neighbourhood in order to create a sense of fantasy upon entry,” wrote I-V in a statement. “The result is an aesthetically balanced and vibrant space.”
