The best days to see the High Park cherry blossoms

May 8 2018, 8:18 pm

If you haven’t been to see the High Park cherry blossoms yet this year, you’re in luck – because today and tomorrow are actually the best days to do so.

According to Sakura in High Park’s latest update, the warm weather has accelerated the bloom over the past few days, making May 7 to 9  the ideal time to view the blossoms, when the trees will be at 75-100% peak bloom.

As it turns out, we’re going to see rain in the coming days, which Sakura in High Park warns could begin to knock down the flowers on Thursday and even more so over Mother’s Day weekend.

This means the next few days will be ideal times to visit the park and enjoy the cherry blossoms.

This means there may only be a good four to five days of full bloom this year.

In case you can’t make it to High Park for yourself, here’s what the cherry blossom madness looked like this past weekend.
