Having started back in 2000 in Dubai, the Halal fried chicken chain has expanded into 23 countries.

Their menu selection ranges from Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken, Crunchy Supreme Burger, Chick Pop, Fish Crunchy Supreme, Mexican Wraps, and signature sides.

“Chicking global’s aggressive international expansion includes a focus on Canada, where halal food is seeing a rise in visibility with several higher-end halal restaurants opening in recent years,” reads the fast-food chains Facebook event.

“This is the first of what will eventually be a total of 20 ChickQueen restaurants from Chicking – the brand that is famous for its high-quality menu offerings including hand-breaded fried chicken, grilled chicken and signature sides.”

ChickQueen will open its first location at 5130 Dixie Road in Mississauga.
