Costco croissants sold in the GTA recalled due to possible presence of plastic

Kirkland Signature brand all butter croissants are being recalled from select Ontario Costco stores ā€œdue to the possible presence of plasticā€ according to a news release from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

ThereĀ have been no reported injuries associated with the consumption of this product but the CFIA is advising that ā€œconsumers should not consume the recalled productsā€¦ā€

The affected products including the 12-pack of Kirkland Signature All Butter Croissants packaged on January 5, 2018 and marked best before January 7, 2018, as well asĀ frozen, uncooked, 204 x 85 g, Kirkland Signature All Butter Croissants packaged on January 5, 2018 and marked best before April 02, 2018.

The recalled croissants were sold only at GTA Costco locations in Etobicoke, (50 Queen Elizabeth Bourlevard) and Newmarket, (18182 Yonge Street), as well as inĀ Barrie (41 Mapleview Drive East) and two locations in London (4313 Wellington Road South andĀ 693 Wonderland Road North.

According to the CFIA, ā€œrecalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.ā€
