Toronto just got a year-round source for funnel cakes

The CNE might be over and the 2017 season at Canada’s Wonderland is coming to a close, but fans of iconic carnival concessions need not wait another year because Toronto just got a permanent source to get your funnel cake fix.

Open as of this week at Yonge and Wellesley, Funnel Cake Express is a food truck and event caterer turned brick and mortar dessert shop.

The first retail location deals in squiggly rounds of deep-fried dough, sprinkled with icing sugar and loaded with swirls of soft serve, syrups, fruit toppings, drizzles, and novelty toppings.
