Toronto city councillor proposes free Tragically Hip concert at Downsview

Among other things, Toronto City Councillor Josh Colle has grace, too. 

Although not born in Bobcaygeon, nor during a nautical disaster, the Hip fan has an idea that may just be ahead by a century – a free Tragically Hip concert for those of us currently not enjoying the scalpers’ mark up.

Speaking with The Star, Colle said, “It would just be a really fantastic opportunity to let everyone thank, celebrate the Tragically Hip and what they’ve meant to the city and to Canada and to all our music lives.”

It goes without saying that we definitely think this is something the Wheat Kings’ management should consider. Have courage, Hip fans, you might get to see your favourite band for the last time after all.
