Ford government changing Ontario's licence plate slogan to 'A Place to Grow'

Ontario will no longer be ‘yours to discover.’ At least, not on its licence plates.

According to multiple reports, the Ford government will be announcing the new plates during Thursday’s 2019 Budget.

And the new slogan will reportedly be “A Place to Grow” on licence plates of Ontario drivers.

Commercial plates will have a different slogan, which is expected to be “Open for Business.”

A Toronto Star report states that “A Place to Grow” is a line from “A Place to Stand, a Place to Grow (Ontari-ari-ari-o!),” the province’s jingle from Expo 67 in Montreal.
